Cisco names George P Johnson for Networkers event

Cisco has named George P Johnson as organiser for its inaugural Cisco Networkers event in the Middle East.

IT industry event Cisco Networkers Bahrain is being held at Bahrain International Circuit from 28-31 March. George P Johnson has organised Cisco's European event, Networkers at Cisco Live - formerly branded Cisco Networkers - for the past three years.

Networkers at Cisco Live is Cisco's largest European event and most recently took place at the CCIB in Barcelona on 25-28 January.

George P Johnson director of client services Lesley Mason estimated 5,000 delegates, speakers, exhibitors and support staff attended the event, which comprised practical training in IT products and systems, product demonstrations, educational sessions and an exhibition, ‘World of Solutions'.

"The event is attended by clients that use Cisco's technology and these companies are in a wide range of industry sectors like telecoms and finance," said Mason. "It attracts delegates from all over Europe."

Mason said the keynote seminars were streamed live and viewed by people who were unable to attend the event. George P Johnson is now analysing the success of the event through online and in-person interviews.

George P Johnson last year won a Gold award in the Most Effective Delivery of ROI category at the Eventia International Awards for the Cisco Networkers 2008 - Ignite Innovation event in Spain.
