Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC) head of UK hotels and venues procurement Samantha van Leeuwen has outlined the professional services firm's CSR expectations of venues.

Van Leeuwen said PWC sought out venues that demonstrated a "proper approach" to corporate responsibility that they worked to develop throughout the supply chain.

It also looked for those that treated their supply chain fairly and ethically, and documented and reported on their social responsibility performance.

"While at the moment at PWC we are not choosing venues based on corporate responsibility, we are starting to and the momentum is going to pick up enormously," said van Leeuwen.
