What events has Jaguar Cars held in Frankfurt in recent years?

We have staged a number of new model launches in Frankfurt, for example at

the Frankfurt Motor Show, and we have been able to attract a big audience

every time and we achieve good press coverage as a result. The new Jaguar FX

made its debut in Frankfurt in 2007. As part of this launch, Jaguar also

hosted a Global Dealer Conference in the city for 180 people at the

Sheraton, an event organised by Maritz (now known as Grass Roots Eventcom).

Which five-star hotels in Frankfurt would you recommend?

There is a good selection of hotels and several new and very modern

properties in the city. Unfortunately, there still seems to be more demand

than supply, and hotels have in recent years increasingly forced

manufacturers to accept unfavourable prices and booking conditions - in some

cases asking for a ten-night minimum stay and tripling room rates.

How do you rate Frankfurt International Airport for convenience?

There are plenty of frequent flights from the UK and they are easily

accessible from all major air hubs across the world. Unfortunately, there is

a limited number of low-cost services, compared with Geneva and Paris, so

early booking is advisable.

The Frankfurt Motor Show is a core event for Congress Center Messe Frankfurt

but does the venue measure up?

The show venue is incredibly big, and journalists tend to complain that

there is just too much to see. It tends to be very dominated by the German

manufacturers with Mercedes taking over an entire hall and BMW building

their own exhibition hall.

Top tip for planners considering Frankfurt?

Hotel cancellation policies are very strict, so it is advisable to make

group bookings around 18 months in advance.
