C&IT has joined forces with meetingsreview.com to provide the text-based news content for its European channel.
The UK's leading meetings magazine launched its first European edition this month, focusing on pan-European buying trends, with news from this and forthcoming issues served on meetingsreview.com, plus a joint monthly bulletin going out to more than 70,000 meetings and events professionals across the globe.
C&IT's publishing director Paul Twite commented: "We are keen to grow C&IT's excellent reputation for cutting edge news and analysis across the globe. As we take our first steps in mainland Europe, with our European edition, the media partnership with meetingsreview.com offers the perfect platform to engage with buyers and suppliers across the continent."
MEETINGS:review, the global news network for the meetings industry, delivers the addition of web TV content to those of its regional publishing partners every week to all partner databases which also include Meet Middle East (MeetME) from Nicholas Publishing in Dubai, and MPI's One+ out of Dallas, Texas.
Further partnerships in Asia and Australasia are expected to be announced at the AIME Conference in Melbourne in February 2009.
Founder of sister web TV portal www.telecomtv.com <http://www.telecomtv.com> , MEETINGS:review producer James Latham added: "With C&IT lending its wonderful brand to the MEETINGS:review network as our European partner, we are close to completing the global partnerships that collectively deliver a sustainable, modern day digital news and information service to meeting and incentive travel planners worldwide. The addition of our web TV offering as a compliment to regional best in class media providers such as C&IT, MeetME, and One+ is the beginning of a globally distributed rich media news service, the likes of which has never been previously available to the meetings industry. With further distribution partnerships with key event owners and associations such as Reed Travel Exhibitions and MPI, we are looking forward to delivering the collective ‘best of the best' information service to our collective audiences."
