Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is to manage a new luxury property in the US state of Georgia, due to open in 2011.

The 198-room Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta and The Residences will offer four dining and cocktail venues, as well as meeting spaces and gourmet catering.

A 2,044sqm spa that has private treatment rooms and provides water and heat therapies will be among the property's leisure facilities.

The property will form part of a 53-storey mixed-use development in Atlanta's up and coming Midtown Mile, located 20 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
