EIBTM adopts environmental standard

The British Standards Institute is independently certifying the show for BS8901 compliance

EIBTM is adopting the BS8901 standard for its show next week.

The British Standards Institute is independently certifying the show, which will be held in Barcelona on 2-4 December.

EIBTM has been independently certified as having been planned in compliance with BS8901 and it is working toward implementing the show in-line with the standard.

The final step will be to complete a review of the show in compliance with BS8901.

EIBTM exhibition director Mandy Torrens said: "Our intention is to provide event management that minimises the negative and maximises the positive impacts of the show.

"Our aim is to be transparent in our approach and work with our contractors and suppliers to make all aspects of running and organising a sustainable event."
