The Conservative Party has named Cheltenham Racecourse's Centaur as the venue for its Spring Forum next April.
The three-day event - exact dates for which are still to be confirmed - is expected to provide a £1 million boost to the town's economy.
"The facilities at the Centaur, the accessibility of Cheltenham and the town's enduring popularity made Cheltenham the strongest contender for Spring Conference 09," said Conservative Party chairman Caroline Spelman.
This year's Tory Spring Forum was held in Newcastle-Gateshead and attracted 2,000 delegates.
