MS Society to roll out B8901 standard

Following a recent trial of sustainable event standard BS8901, the MS Society is planning to use it for the rest of its future events.

The charity used online management tool ‘eventberry’ from agency Seventeen Events to assist it while creating its sustainable AGM event in September.

MS Society head of conferences Chris Bray said: “It is hugely important for us to consider the social, economic and environmental impact that MS Society events have, given their size and the attendance figures.”

The organisation aims to be formally certified in Spring 2009.
