Black Tomato has announced plans to expand its C&I team again next year as the London agency increases its UK event focus.
"Originally we were predominantly focusing on overseas incentives and conferences, but many of those clients are now asking us for UK events that add something different," Black Tomato head of corporate incentives and rewards Matt Smith said.
The agency, which has separate consumer and business divisions, had around 17 staff a year ago. That now stands at 27, with the most recent additions being three more C&I staff in August.
Smith said he envisages the total numbers being increased to "the mid-thirties or forties" in 2009, beginning in the first part of the year.
"Obviously right now everybody is being cautious, but I think we will expand again soon," Smith said. "We very rarely use freelancers as were prefer to have full time staff to prevent their being any disconnect with our brand when events go live."
