The newly created position follows the growth of both corporate and private events at the London venue, with a 21% rise in summer event bookings recorded earlier in the year. Recent clients include Wedgwood Britain, fashion brand Pringle, global law firm Linklaters and children’s charity NSPCC.
Atkinson’s role includes designing and implementing a sustainable, cost effective business strategy for the events department. She will also manage and lead all the divisions that fall under the department including back and front of house and oversee sales and marketing.
She brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience to the role, having worked in four and five star properties, including the Petersham Hotel in Richmond and The Grove in Hertfordshire.
