From Thursday 29 October, Norwegian will operate two services per week to the Spanish island. Flights will depart on Thursdays and Saturdays on the new Boeing 737 aircraft, which provides free wi-fi for all passengers.
Norwegian already offers low-cost routes to Copenhagen, Malaga, Oslo and Stockholm from Edinburgh Airport, carrying more than 150,000 passengers annually.
Gordon Dewar, chief executive of Edinburgh Airport, said: "Edinburgh Airport had over one million passengers through the doors last month - and in every one of the last five months – we are continuing to grow, create jobs and make a positive contribution for Scotland’s economy."
