Judges were impressed by the The fresh Group's year-on-year growth, strategy and excellent staff benefits. "This agency cares about its people and staff retention. It made me want to work there," said one.
The past year has been a one of change and growth for the agency, including a management buyout, the launch of new Experiential and Content divisions, and the signing of its first pharmaceutical client - Abbott Vascular.
Financial performance for 2014 was impressive, with a turnover of £15,597,499 and gross profit of £5,258,140, up £706,369 on the previous year's figure. Other new business wins include Dixons Carphone, Direct Line and Mothercare.
In 2014 fresh gained a place on the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list and launched The f Word, an internal staff intranet and rewards programme. This runs alongside existing benefits, which include a pension scheme, 33 days holiday rising to 36 after three years, an extra day to use for volunteering, childcare vouchers, cycle-to-work scheme, healthcare cash plan, life insurance, Introduce a Friend bonus and New Business Bonus.
