Fairmont to open hotel in Nigeria capital Abuja

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a luxury hotel in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The 270-room hotel will be located in the city’s central business district, only 30km from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and in close proximity to the new International Conference Centre, due to open in 2018. 

The hotel, which opens in 2019, will have more than 2,400sqm of meetings and event space, including a state-of-the-art ballroom. Other facilities will include a spa and fitness facilities, tennis courts, a gymnasium and outdoor swimming pools.

There will also be an extensive selection of lounges and restaurants available, including an all-day dining concept, lobby lounge, boutique café, pool bar, aentertainment bar and two specialty restaurants featuring international cuisine.
