Meet in Scotland event to take place in Glasgow

Meetings and incentive businesses from all corners of Scotland will be showcasing their venues to UK and Ireland event organisers next week.

'Meet in Scotland’, an annual networking event organised by VisitScotland’s Business Events team, will take place at Glasgow’s brand new Village Urban Resort on 25 September.

Representatives from hotels and venues across the country, from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perthshire, Aberdeen City & Shire, Ayrshire and the Highlands, will be on hand to show why Scotland is the ideal destination for business events.

Among the Scottish businesses taking part are The Gleneagles Hotel (Perthshire), Trump Turnberry (Ayrshire), The Scotch Whisky Experience (Edinburgh) and Glasgow Science Centre.

Prior to a workshop, the group of buyers, which includes companies from London, Dublin and Yorkshire, will enjoy a special networking evening at Glasgow’s Pollock House, which will be held in conjunction with the National Trust for Scotland.

Buyers will also enjoy a familiarisation trip to an island known affectionately as ‘Scotland in Miniature’. Arran, which lies off the coast of Ayrshire and which earlier this year hosted the international Cold Water Island Tourism Conference, is divided by the Highland Boundary Fault, meaning it offers the best of both the Highlands and the Lowlands.

The fam trip will include a visit to the five-star Auchrannie House Hotel & Spa Resort and the Isle of Arran Distillery.
