The direct route will fly four times weekly from 6 November 2015, and will increase to six times weekly for the summer 2016 season.

Lynne Embleton, British Airways’ managing director at Gatwick said: "Valencia is one of Spain’s cultural gems offering a huge range of sights and activities throughout the year."

The new route is the latest of a number that British Airways has launched from London this year, including launching a flight to Vienna, tripling its London City to Geneva flights and increasing flights to Faro.
