The one-day educational summit, EVCOM Academy, will take place in September, for students and newly qualified industry professionals. Run in association with several universities, the event will bring together a series of training and development sessions, divided into 12 modules.

"It’s going to be a professional development event to nurture young talent," said Marco Forgione, CEO of EVCOM. "We want to retain our members and continue to grow. To do this we have to deliver on our promises to help businesses develop, and education is one channel through which to do this."

The move is in line with EVCOM's plans to introduce a student membership, which was announced last week at the AGM (1 July) at the Barbican in London.
