Moscow's Garage Museum of Contemporary Arts to open this month

Russia's Garage Museum of Contemporary Arts is opening this week (12 June), following its relocation to its new home in Gorky Park in Moscow.

The 5,400sqm building will feature a state of the art façade consisting of a translucent double-layer of polycarbonate that is elevated two meters from the ground to visually reconnect the Museum’s interior to the park.

The new building will house five exhibition galleries, an auditorium and several education spaces.

The museum was founded in 2008 and initially housed in the Bakhmetevsky Bus Garage.
