Manchester's City Tower to open business lounge

The City Tower in Manchester city centre is to undergo a major refurbishment of its ground floor and reception areas, including the creation of additional meeting space.

The Tower, based in Piccadilly Gardens, will feature an improved atrium space and a new business lounge with meeting space and booths, alongside additonal catering and retail units. Existing meeting space includes the Red Rooms, which offer views across the city and which cater for up to 150 delegates.

The refurbishment is expected to take around six months to complete. The Tower was recently sold to new owners Schroders from family property firm Bruntwood for £132m.
