The airline will fly from London City to Geneva three times daily on weekdays, once on Saturdays and twice on Sundays from 6 September. The route, which was previously a five times weekly winter service, will now operate year-round.

Luke Hayhoe, BA's general manager commercial at LCY, said: "Geneva has traditionally been a leisure route for us from London City but more and more of our customers have been asking us to provide a year-round business schedule, linking these two important commercial centres and complimenting the services we offer from London Heathrow."

British Airways recently launched a Gatwick to Vienna route, and spiced up its service with free helicopter transfers to Monaco.
