Portland House undergoes makeover to host live music events

Portland House in Cardiff Bay, a Grade II-listed building, has undergone a makeover and now hosts live music events.

The venue is located on the site of a former bank and has a Grecian design complete with pillars. It also has underground vaults which have previously been used for dance events. The Banking Hall has undergone a makoever and will be a focal point for live music events.

In the past year, Portland House has been used for a number of corporate events but the owners also want to build the venue's reputation for hosting live music. It has a capacity for between 700 to 800 for a standing gig.

The Banking Hall will be open to the public on 21 May to mark the completion of the first stages of renovation.
