C&IT launched its 7th annual A List on Monday night (27 April) at The Savoy, London, to a crowd of more than 100 event agency professionals. Attendees gathered for drinks and canapés in the Abraham Lincoln Room, before this year’s list of 35 of the top agency players under the age of 35 was unveiled.
This week's top five stories:
On Tuesday (28 April) Blitz | GES, in partnership with The Science Museum, held a day of seminars and live demonstrations of the best emerging event technology. The event was a hands-on day of ‘live learning’ with a programme of informal conversations from experts and speakers to illustrate how technology can enable attendees to become participants.
On Thursday evening (30 April), agency Chillisauce hosted an industry barbecue at The Paperworks in London. UK barbecue champion Andy Annat was on hand for a masterclass, and events professionals gathered for food, drinks, and a turn on the barbecue.
Also this week, Santander’s ‘Breakthrough Box’ concept reached Cardiff. The concept, which was devised by events agency Slice, is intended to illustrate the potential of Santander’s business offer and allows local SMEs to gain insight, share experience and develop new business contacts in an unusual environment.
