With Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils and Aberdeen International Airport, the venue welcomed 1,100 delegates from the aviation and tourism industries over three days earlier this week for the 10th annual Routes Europe event.

Last night, it hosted the return of the Betway Premier League Darts, which is now in its 11th season. Reigning champion Raymond van Barneveld and current world champion Michael van Gerwin enjoyed the support of 3,800 darts fans.

Next week, the AECC expects 600 visitors to attend VisitScotland Expo, Scotland’s premier business-to-business travel trade event, between 22 and 23 April. The event will feature 200 exhibitors in the GE Oil & Gas Arena including hoteliers, attractions and whiskey distilleries.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s managing director, said: "It is great to welcome a large range of events to the venue. The line-up also includes Scotland’s Franchise Show, Aberdeen Whisky Festival and Energy Cities’ annual conference, and we look forward to welcoming delegates and consumers to AECC."
