Additional routes for Winter 2015/16 from monarch's five UK bases include flights from Birmingham to Lanzarote, Madeira, Larnaca in Cyprus, Gran Canaria and Turin in Italy.

The airline will also fly from Leeds Bradford to Alicante in Spain, and from Luton to Gibraltar.

There will be new routes from London Gatwick to Alicante, Friedrichshafen in Germany, Madeira and Menorca; and flights from Manchester to Alicante, Gibraltar, Gran Canaria and Palma Majorca.

Marjan Schoeke, head of network development for Monarch Airlines, said: "The addition of these routes to our winter 15/16 schedule provides our customers with even more choice when it comes to booking their winter break, whether they prefer sun or ski.

"Following the review of our network last year we have created a schedule which we believe will be very attractive to our customers. In particular, for our most popular winter destinations, we have made our flights more frequent and are offering flight times that are more convenient."
