Oslofjord Convention Centre invests in expansion

Oslofjord Convention Centre, located 90 minutes from Oslo and Norway's largest concert and concert hall, is investing in an ambitious expansion plan.

The proposed expansion, at a cost of euro 130m, will develop the area around the centre, with the aim of becoming one of Europe's prime event destinations for large organisations.

The expansion, to be completed by 2020, will include 10 new meeting rooms for groups of 200, 2,500 hotel rooms, a sports hall, swimming hall, soccer field, exhibition area and a beach trail.

The Centre's conference hall, spanning 4,800msq, provides seating for 6,800 with standing room for 700, and there is 4,300msq of additional space that can be used for showroom or other event-related activities. The Oslofjord campus includes a beach that can be used for incentive activities. There are also 700 units on site with up to 3,000 beds and a range of dining experiences are also available.
