Alila Hotels plans second Oman property

Alila Hotels & Resorts has announced it is to open its second luxury resort development in Oman in Mirbat, east of Salalah, in south-western Oman.

The resort, expected to open in 2017, aims to be ecological and will offer 100 suites, fine dining restaurants and spa facilities. 

Mark Edleson, president of Alila Hotels & Resorts, said: "After the successful launch of Alila Jabal Akhdar, our first luxury development outside Asia located in Oman's Al Hajjar mountain range, we are honoured to expand our collection of luxury resorts in the Middle East, particularly in the Sultanate." 

Alila Jabal Akdhar opened last year.
