Organisers of the Sustainable Events Summit, Positive Impact and agency Smyle, have planned for the summit to run alongside The Meetings Show, which will take place at London’s Olympia from 7-9 July.

This year’s Summit will focus on the issues and opportunities facing meetings professionals working towards sustainability and will include corporate and client organiser-led content intended to provide delegates with ‘real expertise and experiences’ from speakers and fellow attendees.

Rick Stainton, managing director of Smyle, said: "The Sustainable Events Summit provides a unique platform for brands and organisers to network, debate and develop their strategies for achieving a sustainable events culture within their company. Our new partnership with The Meetings Show will also enable us to extend our dialogue in the important meetings and conference sector."

Steve Knight, The Meetings Show’s event director, added: "This partnership will be of huge benefit to attendees of both events. Sustainability is a key issue for both the supply and demand sides of the meetings industry and is of particular interest to the many hosted buyers attending The Meetings Show.

"The Sustainable Events Summit has established itself as the leading event for those seeking to enhance their knowledge and understanding of this issue and we are excited by the opportunities this exclusive partnership brings to both organisations. In particular we are looking forward to hosting the summit’s delegates, providing travel and accommodation for those wishing to attend both events."
