Oslo: summer and winter inspiration

Oslo's proximity to the fjord and forest enables the city to host activities all year round. C&IT checks out seasonal options for summer and winter.

Summer: Small groups (between 10 to 15 per hour) can test their adrenaline levels with a zipline at Holmenkollen or for those looking for a calmer experience, up to 20 can go on walking or themed tours of Oslo city. Larger groups can indulge in a scenic horse and carriage ride, for groups of up to 60, or a jeep safari for up to 80. Those in search of adventure can travel on RIB boats or a Fjord cruise, with the choice of vintage or modern boats, accommodating between 10-400 people across several boats.

Winter: Indoor golfing is possible during the season, suited to up to 48 people, while curling is another option, also for groups of up to 48. For a winter wonderland experience, groups can opt for a horse and sleigh journey. Seal safaris with RIB boats for up to 60 people are available, with winter jeep safaris suited to up to 80. Groups of up to 200 can go tobogganing down the "Corkscrew", the old bobsleigh track from the Olympics in 1952. For larger groups, lunch or dinner can be held in lavvu tents, for up to 1,200 guests.
