Amadeus appointed Touch, which recently rebranded from Touch Associates, as a global preferred events agency partner following a full RFP process.

Touch has already worked on Amadeus' global leadership conference, global R&D conference and is working on a number of other events for the brand over the next few months.

Amadeus' group events head Amanda Hoffmeister said: "We appointed Touch because we felt their response to the RFP really spanned the full breadth of everything we are looking for in terms of content delivery, logistics and their global reach. They also really understood what we're trying to achieve with our events and are supporting us to take our events to another level."

Touch associates director Nick Bender said: "Winning the Amadeus pitch was really exciting for us, as it was the first time four of us as board directors had got in front of a client and pitched together.

"It is a good win for the business as it contributes to us widening the business sectors that we work in. It also gave us the opportunity to engage with the client on content as well as logistics. Since winning the pitch, we have been involved managing several events for Amadeus and the spirit of the relationship really makes us feel like an extension of Amanda's team."

News of the win follows Touch's announcement of an almost four-fold year-on-year increase in profits in 2014, as turnover doubled to £10.4m for the 12 months to September.

Look out for C&IT's interview with the Touch team in the forthcoming April issue of C&IT.
