C&IT's Association Forum kicked off on Monday (9 March) at London's Hurlingham Club and was attended by a number of association event planners, including delegates from the World Obesity Federation, the International Association of Hydrogeologists and the European Society of Cardiology. The day started off with a warm-up icebreaker, then one-to-one meetings with suppliers and a number of networking opportunities.
The day also included relevant seminars on topics such as ‘Winning the generation game: how to engage XYZ’ and ‘Going for growth – upping delegate acquisition and expanding into new markets’. It ended with a drinks reception before a three-course dinner and entertainment at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel.

Also this week, C&IT joined a host of event planners on a six-day educational trip to Seoul, from 5-10 March. Event professionals from agencies including Grass Roots, Banks Sadler, Conference Contacts and Bridge Events travelled to South Korean capital Seoul to sample the city's top venues and attractions, courtesy of the Korea Tourism Oganisation, Korea MICE, British Airways and Hyatt Hotels.
The trip included visits to the Grand Hyatt Incheon hotel, the Sihwadam Itaewon restaurant, the renowned Korean Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) and the Gwangiang Market and Namsangol Hanok Village. Over the course of the trip, the group stayed at three Hyatt properties: Grand Hyatt Seoul, Park Hyatt Seoul and Grand Hyatt Incheon.
On Wednesday (11 March), Atout France hosted a VIP evening at the Barbican Centre after a showing of Antigone at the Barbican Theatre. Industry professionals were entertained by Atout France and the Nice Convention Bureau as they attended an exclusive dinner post-performance, where they were joined by French actress Juliette Binoche, who plays Antigone.
