The 143-bedroom property is located on the main coast of Phu Quoc Island, in Vietnam’s Kien Giang Province, and is a ten-minute drive away from Phu Quoc International Airport, which is serviced from Ho Chi Minh Airport and Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi.
The resort will reopen later this year with facilities including meeting rooms, an all-day restaurant, a swimming pool and pool bar, fitness centre and a new Spa Cenvaree, a branch of Centara’s award-winning luxury spa providers.
Chris Bailey, vice president of sales and marketing for Centara Hotels & Resorts, said: "The new resort is a highly desirable acquisition for us, as it has a different style and product focus than our other properties in the region, and so we can expand our appeal to a wider cross-section of the market."
Centara Hotels & Resorts is Thailand’s leading hotel operator and runs three convention centres in Bangkok and two in north-eastern Thailand.
The company has 77 properties in its portfolio in destinations including the Maldives, Qatar, Turkey and China.
