The renovation, by architects Wilkinson Eyre, highlights the venue’s connections between medicine and art and uses soft furnishings and a purple and teal colour scheme.

Revamped events spaces in the venue include the centrepiece Henry Wellcome Auditorium, a tiered space for up to 154 delegates, and the Williams Lounge breakout area that stands alongside it. Also available is the Medicine Now Gallery, which can host drinks receptions and has been updated with a new staircase. There are also four smaller meetings rooms with flexible set-ups that have all been updated in line with the new design and feature built-in A/V equipment.

Daniel Caleb, event spaces manager, said: "We are very excited to reveal the changes to the venue, they will provide delegates with fresh and reinvigorated spaces to hold their events. Part of Wellcome Collection’s on-going commitment to improving the delegate experience, we hope the refurbishment will highlight the venue as a destination of choice."
