Spotlight on the Cairngorms

The Cairngorms National Park is situated in the heart of the Highlands and, at more than 1700 square miles, it is the largest national park in the UK.

Muckrach Country House Hotel: Once part of the Seafield estate, the lodge was a vibrant hub for shooting and skiing parties in the 1900s. Following an extensive refurbishment by the Cowap family, the Victorian shooting lodge has been restored to its former glory and will reopen in April.

Rothiemurcus Estates: The property offers a range of outdoor activities for team-building and away days. Land-based activities include 4x4 off-roading, archery, pony trekking and wildlife watching, while those who don’t mind getting wet can take their pick from the likes of river kayaking, gorge walking and rafting.

Macdonald Aviemore: For larger-scale conferences, the resort offers a range of adaptable spaces, meeting rooms, cutting-edge audio visual technology and 455 rooms to accommodate delegates during their stay. Situated just 11 miles from Cairngorm Mountain Ski Resort, the resort’s 650-seat auditorium is ideal for conferences, seminars and film shows, while the hexagonal Peregrine Suite can host gala dinners with stunning panoramic views of the mountains. The 1,000sqm Osprey Arena is an expansive space capable of holding a crowd of up to 1000 people.
