The Chromebox for Meetings device aims to improve conference calls by using Google+ Hangouts and Google apps like Calendar and Gmail.

The device allows users from all around the world to join meetings through a laptop, tablet or smartphone by simply connecting through their Google accounts, rather than the traditional dial-in codes, passcodes or PIN numbers.

By owning just one machine up to 15 users can connect by using their Gmail account, as opposed to needing one Chromebox per person to participate.

The machine features an HD camera and a built-in microphone and speaker unit.

Chromebox For Meetings is being retailed in the US for $999 and is expected to be launched in the UK as well as a host of other countries later this year.
