The Global Grand Challenges Summit will take place on 12-13 March at IET London: Savoy Place and will be one of the first cross-location events, made possible by IET Venues’ virtual hub in Birmingham via a live stream.
The event will also be made available in Bangalore, India where viewers can also watch the webcast online.
Streamed live at IET Birmingham: Austin Court, delegates can watch and participate in the London event via a chat room service and Twitter feed.
Sean Spencer, venue and facilities manager IET Venues, said: "This type of event is unprecedented for us but we have been selected, primarily, for the robust technological upgrade and investment made over the past few years, across our venues. We are responding to the fast evolving landscape of events so whether accommodating a face-to-face, virtual or hybrid event, venues need to showcase their capabilities to ensure they are meeting customer needs, both nationally and internationally. This event will be a great opportunity for us to do so and we expect the virtual and interactive elements to the event to be hugely engaging for delegates."
The Summit will also include international engineering thinkers and innovators sharing ideas with the next generation of engineers and policy-makers on how to solve the world’s most pressing challenges.
