The Algarve is planning a series of luxury venue developments to attract C&I buyers in the next two years.
New venues will include the Crowne Plaza Vilamoura, which is due to open in early 2010, offering a traditional Cataplana restaurant, an outdoor multi-purpose sports arena and 1,300sqm of meeting facilities. This will be followed by the opening of the Quinta do Vale Golf Resort village in October.
The Longevity Wellness Resort Monchique is also set to open in 2010 and will offer an anti-ageing medical spa, meditation room and tailored wellness programmes.
The Conrad Hilton aims to open in Qunita do Lago in 2011 as the region's first six-star property, and will offer a ballroom with access to private gardens, a spa and a health club.
