Altitude appoints strategy director

1 comment on this article.Altitude has appointed former Saatchi & Saatchi chief Ian Christie as strategy director, following a recruitment search that began last May.
Altitude managing director John Saunders said Christie's remit will be to add marketing programmes to live events and create communications solutions.
Formerly global account director for WPP and Saatchi & Saatchi in London, Christie was also chief executive of Saatchi's office in his native New Zealand.
"It's a real coup for us to have someone of Ian's calibre on board," said Saunders.
The agency has also changed its name from Altitude Inspires to Altitude Creative Communications to reflect its broader range of services.
Saunders added: "We're responding to demand from both existing and new clients for a broader range of services, and our new name reflects that. Clients are increasingly asking us to add communications programmes to live events, from strategy through to execution."
